The main points defining the events organised by ARS CONVIVIALIS are:

The Reproduction
of genuine roman recipes drawn from ancient gastronomic Greek and Latin texts,
such as Ateneo, Archestrato, Catone, Varrone, Columella, Apicio etc.

The realistic setting
includes both the laying of the tables with sets of table linen, cutlery and
crockery which are genuine reproductions of archaeological objects and the
decorations of the dining rooms with bronze objects derived from moulds of
works of art which are in exhibition in the most important national and foreign
museums.

The table service
done by Ancillae et Ministratores (waitress and waiter) dressed with tunicae,
calcei et coronae sertae (tunics, shoes and garlands of flowers twisted on
their heads) who serve the Guests according to the peculiar rituality of the
Roman Imperial Age.

The Magister Convivii (Master of Ceremonies) who directs the service and
introduces both the various victuals and the several phases of the banquet
giving the guests a historical explanation.
ARS CONVIVIALIS proposes different kinds of Banquets according to the

in a funny entertaining original recalling of the ancient wedding rituals,
which it is reserved to both bride and bridegroom and their friends, they all
together directly take part to a unusual party, which is original and extremely
glamorous and amusing.
Everything has been studied to get the Guest involved and to make him part and
witness of an absolutely original and unforgettable event.
ARS CONVIVALIS gathers together three specific expertise: both the study of
Ancient Greek and Latin Gastronomy and the realisation of their refined recipe;
the Museum Reproductions, in order to achieve an accurate environments
rebuilding and decoration; the Banqueting & Catering specialised in the
